Mobile banking gives you quick access to your account. You can check your balance, make payments and transfer money without visiting a branch, so your phone and sign-in details need careful protection.

Sign out after using your banking app. This can reduce the risk of someone accessing an active session if your phone is lost, although signing out cannot protect a device that has already been compromised.

Avoid banking over unfamiliar public Wi-Fi. Use mobile data or a trusted connection instead.

Keep the banking app and your phone’s operating system up to date so that security fixes are installed. Before signing in, check your connection and make sure you are using the bank’s official app.
