Fraudulent emails may claim to come from your bank and demand an urgent account “update” or “verification”.

The message often contains a link to a fake page designed to look almost identical to the bank’s website. Any information you enter can be collected by the fraudsters.

Do not follow a suspicious link, even when the message looks convincing. Check account information through the bank’s official mobile app or contact customer services using a trusted channel.

Do not send passwords, PINs or one-time security codes by email. Verify the request directly with your bank before taking action.
