FIN-CSIRT takes part in a cybersecurity panel

A cybersecurity panel moderated by Darko Šehović, Head of FIN-CSIRT, brought together Mr Paunović from the National CERT and Mr Stolić from A1. They discussed cyber incidents in Serbia, trends observed by their organisations, prevention and expected changes to the information security legal framework.

The discussion highlighted the need to raise awareness among users of digital services. Cooperation between relevant institutions, continued education and accessible security services were identified as ways to improve protection for users.

Participants also discussed increasingly sophisticated attacks and the use of artificial intelligence in both attacks and defence. They concluded that the frequency and complexity of threats called for coordinated defensive measures involving all relevant organisations.

More effective information sharing was recognised as a condition for a timely response. FIN-CSIRT, established as Serbia’s first sectoral CERT to strengthen the financial sector’s cyber resilience, was presented as an example of this cooperation.
